What We Do
Delegated Design & Deferred Submittals for MEP Supports
PE/SE-stamped deliverables, BIM-ready coordination, and fast turnaround — built around your project schedule.
Delegated Design & Deferred Submittals of MEP Supports
When the structural design of MEP supports is delegated on your project — or listed as a deferred submittal — we take it off your plate. We design supports for your duct, piping, conduit, cable tray, and equipment to the project specifications and applicable codes, and deliver a submittal-ready package.
Every deferred submittal package is reviewed and stamped by a licensed PE or SE, ready for submission to the AHJ after permit.
Deliverables
- Structural calculation package
- Shop drawings
- Drawings stamped by a licensed PE or SE

- Other non-building structures
BIM Services
Beyond the calculations, we model it. We build a Revit 3D model of the designed support solution and integrate it with the building model, including other trades' 3D designs — so clashes get caught on screen, not in the field.
Our team works within your project's BIM environment, coordinating with other trades to resolve conflicts before they reach the field.
Deliverables
- Revit 3D model of the designed solution
- Integration with other trades' models
- Multi-trade coordination and clash detection
- Final bill of materials
- Shop drawings
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a delegated design / deferred submittal for MEP supports?
On many projects, the structural design of MEP supports is delegated to a specialty engineer rather than detailed on the permit drawings. Under IBC Section 107.3.4.1, these items may be submitted as deferred submittals — portions of the design submitted after permit issuance with the building official's prior approval, reviewed by the design professional in responsible charge, and approved before installation. We produce the stamped calculations, shop drawings, and coordinated models that make up that package, so your supports clear review without delaying the job.
Why can't our own team handle the support design?
Because your contract makes you responsible for it, but your expertise is installation — not structural analysis. Designing supports means proving structural integrity under dead, live, seismic, wind, snow, and ice loads and demonstrating code compliance to the reviewer. That's our full-time specialty, and it's all we do.
What do you need from us to get started?
